We have some great news to share today – the first day of National Staffing Employee Week. The American Staffing Association today announced that Omeros Corporation Executive Assistant Jessica Dorny is the 2018 National Staffing Employee All-Star for the Office-Clerical and Administrative Sector. Jessica was one of five individuals selected nationwide to represent their industry for the honor.

Why is Parker so excited about this National Staffing Employee All-Star Award?

Well, Jessica Dorny was formerly a contractor with Parker, and her story is truly inspiring! Before connecting with Parker, Jessica had a bit of trouble finding employment after leaving a job to take care of a new baby as well her fiancé who was recovering after a health crisis.

Our Senior Recruiter, Gayle Luchini, immediately recognized Jessica’s potential, and provided coaching and guidance that helped her land a temporary executive assistant role at Omeros Corp., a biotechnology company near Seattle Center. Throughout her contract, Jessica thrived, and within two months, was converted into a permanent position with Omeros. Jessica and Gayle were elated that she had found her home with a progressive and supportive organization that provided her with the stability her family needed to complete their recovery. Fast-forward to today: Her fiancé is getting back on his feet, their baby is healthy, and Jessica is continuing to do great work with Omeros.

This is the second time a former Parker contractor was selected as a recipient for the National Staffing Employee All-Star Awards. Jonathan Morales also won in the Office-Clerical and Administrative category in 2016. We are elated that Jessica was selected for this award, as she is truly deserving of the accolades. We wish her continued success in her role and all the best for her family!
