Schedule: Full Time

A leading vascular clinic dedicated to providing advanced, state-of-the-art patient care is seeking a professional, motivated Phone Operator to join its growing team. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and referring providers, playing a vital part in delivering excellent service and ensuring smooth communication throughout the clinic. What Your Day Brings:

  • Answer and manage multi-line phone system with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently.
  • Obtain prior authorizations and precertifications as needed.
  • Verify insurance coverage, co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance.
  • Register patients into the practice’s system, ensuring accurate and complete data entry.
  • Confirm and coordinate appointments with referring providers.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with nursing, reception, and file room staff regarding patient flow.
  • Follow up on no-shows and ensure documentation is accurately recorded in the HER.
  • Assist with new patient coordination and provide back-up coverage as needed.
  • Audit scheduled appointments to ensure proper physician alignment and testing requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional work environment in accordance with the clinic’s standards.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a medical office or front office setting.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, positive and team oriented.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification, CPT and ICD-10 coding.
  • Medical terminology and clinical knowledge highly preferred.
  • Experience with Centricity or similar EMR systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and handle high call volumes.
