The Parker Blog:

The Parker Family Walked / Ran / Raised Funds for the End AIDS Walk Seattle

Last Saturday, Parker arrived at Volunteer Park in Capitol Hill, with coffee in hand and dogs in tow, for the 2015 End AIDS Walk Seattle. The End AIDS Walk is a yearly event benefiting Lifelong AIDS Alliance, an organization whose mission is to empower people living with or at risk of HIV/AIDS and/or other chronic conditions to lead healthier lives. The organization has been around since 1983, and provides food, housing, healthcare and support to members of the Seattle community that are living with HIV/AIDS.

Most of us opted to walk for the End AIDS Walk 5K, but two of our team members, Nick and Kyle, decided to take part in the race. Kyle took 11th and Nick took 15th overall, but each were 5th in their respective age groups and we’re certainly proud!

Between the donations gathered by Parker employees and contractors, our friends and family, paired with a generous matching gift from our parent company, Jackson Healthcare, we raised a grand total of $1,135 for Lifelong AIDS Alliance! Thank you to everyone who donated and participated. Go Team Parker!
